Grant Davis, Attorney

Originally from the West Texas town of Odessa, Mr. Davis grew up in the heart of the Permian Basin.  After Law School, Grant gained field experience as a Petroleum Landman where he drafted comprehensive title runsheets for subdivision, fee, and state lands.  As a Landman, Grant also worked directly with in-house Landmen on curative issues.

Today, Grant has concentrated his practice on writing oil and gas title opinions, including stand-up title opinions.  In addition, his practice includes: due diligence for acquisitions; negotiating and purchasing oil and gas interests; and drafting and interpreting various oil and gas agreements, including oil and gas leases, unitization agreements, surface and subsurface agreements, saltwater disposal leases, drilling contracts, purchase sale agreements, and joint operating agreements.

Mr. Davis has extensive oil and gas law experience in the Barnett Shale (urban drilling), Eagle Ford Shale, and West Texas.

Outside of the practice of law, Grant has studied classical and jazz piano since the age of seven and actively supports the visual and performing arts in Dallas.  He has also completed a two month Spanish immersion course at the Instituto de Español in Costa Rica.   He has lived in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA while working for Texas Instruments and completely restored an “M” Street 1928 Tudor home in Dallas.
